Phil Alexander Robertson (born April 24, 1946)
Phil is the patriarch of the Robertson family – and my personal favorite cast member. He created the Duck Commander duck call in 1972, and incorporated the Duck Commander Company in 1973. In one of the episodes you can see the shed on Robertson land where Phil created the first duck call. He played college football at Louisiana Tech University, starting ahead of Hall-of-Famer Terry Bradshaw, and was drafted by the NFL after his junior year by the Washington Redskins. He turned it down and quit football because it interfered with duck season. Phil is known for his dislike of modern technology (he proudly admits that he does not own a cellphone or a computer). Marsha Kay “Miss Kay” Robertson (born December 21, 1950)
Miss Kay is Phil’s wife, they married young when she was just 16. She is the mother of Alan (who is not featured on the show), Jase, Willie, and Jep. She loves cooking, so always has her entire family over for a home-cooked meal after a hard day’s work. (The meal setting is featured at the end of each episode, with Phil praying beforehand and Willie talking about the events of the episode). Miss Kay speaks and acts like a true southern lady. And she loves her dogs.
Silas Merritt “Si” Robertson (born June 3, 1948)
Si is Phil’s youngest brother, a Vietnam War veteran, and married to Christine (who isn’t featured on the show). He works at Duck Commander, making the reeds that go into every duck call. Si is kind of like the Kramer of Duck Dynasty. He is known for his storytelling, his constant use of the phrase “Hey!” and his ever-present blue plastic cup, which his mother sent him while he was stationed in Vietnam. He’s often filmed carrying around a jug of sweet tea and he loves pizza.
Willie Jess Robertson (born April 22, 1972)
Willie is the third son of Phil and Miss Kay, and CEO of Duck Commander. He used his business degree from Harding University to take Duck Commander from a family business to a multi-million dollar empire. He is married to Korie Robertson, and they have five children. Willie does the majority of the narration on the show and is often seen wearing an American flag bandana.
Korie Robertson (born October 24, 1973)
Korie is Willie’s wife and business partner. She also graduated from Harding University. She is the office manager of Duck Commander. Korie and Willie have known one another since she was in 3rd grade, and he was in 4th grade. They married on Jan 11 1992 when they were 19(Korie) and 20(Willie). They have four children: twins John Luke and Sadie, an adopted son named Will (called “Lil Will” on the show), Bella, and an exchange daughter from Taiwan named Rebecca. Korie is what Phil refers to as a “Yuppie wife.” She prefers chick flick movies to long days in the bush.
Jason Silas “Jase” Robertson (born August 19, 1969)
Jase is Willie’s brother (the second-oldest of Phil and Miss Kay’s sons) and is in charge of the manufacturing aspects of Duck Commander. Along with other employees, Jase tunes the duck calls by hand. Many of the episodes feature the laid-back, self-professed redneck Jase doing something to aggravate the gung-ho, business-savvy Willie (such as turning a warehouse cleaning into a ping-pong battle). Jase is a straight forward, common sense type of guy. He likes to give Si a hard time — but really, who on the show doesn’t?
Missy Robertson (born April 22, 1971)
Missy is Jase’s wife. She is often seen helping Korie and Miss Kay with ideas to expand the Duck Commander women’s line. Missy and Jase have three children: Reed, Cole, and Mia. Missy is also a “Yuppie wife.”
Jules Jeptha “Jep” Robertson (born May 28, 1978)
Jep is Phil and Miss Kay’s youngest son. He currently films and edits DVDs of the Robertson family hunting for enthusiasts worldwide and is often seen at Duck Commander and at family dinners. He doesn’t get as much screen time as the other brothers and doesn’t do any narration. He is married to Jessica and has four kids: Lily, Merritt, Priscilla, and River.
Jessica Robertson (born November 12, 1980)
Jessica Robertson (née Strickland) is Jep’s wife and the daughter-in-law of Phil and Kay. She married Jep after dating him for only four months. She has four children, Lily, Merritt, Priscilla and River. She is a licensed real estate agent. She is currently working on her own fashion line.
John Godwin (born September 6, 1962)
John, along with Justin Martin, is one of two regular cast members who are not family members. John has worked at Duck Commander since 2002, and has been a friend of the Robertson family for many years. Godwin is currently in charge of overseeing the shipping department.
